This article examines the development of the theory of inflation in the framework of modern macroeconomic discussion. Special attention is paid to the problem of stagflation, which manifests itself in a combination of slow economic growth, high inflation and unemployment. The text focuses on the difficulties faced by governments in shaping policy in the context of stagflation, and also emphasizes the need for a multilateral approach to economic management. In conclusion, the article focuses on the importance of taking into account various factors when choosing measures to combat inflation and calls for a flexible and comprehensive approach to solving economic problems.
