Bank Lending of Individuals in Russia: Condition, Problems and Solutions

Abstract

People are taking more money, but this is not the kind of credit growth that is driving consumption growth and the economy as a whole. The debt burden of citizens is increasing. The main purpose of this study was to consider the statistics on the lending of the population by commercial banks, to compare the most profitable loan offers from banks to date, as well as to provide solutions how to leave the "debt pit" for borrowers who have difficulties in repayment of loans.
