Theories of Imbalance of Social and Economic Development of Regions of the Country

Abstract

The article presents the main ideas of some basic theories of regional economy in terms of justification of interregional inequalities in socio-economic development. It is shown that these theories should underlie the natural, insurmountable imbalance factor of territorial development and social inequality, which is associated with competitive advantages, the location of economic activity and forms of settlement in the economic sphere.
