Infrastructure bonds: reasons for unsuccessful practice in Kazakhstan

Abstract

The article focuses on the main reasons for unsuccessful practice of infrastructure financing through infrastructure bonds in Kazakhstan. The author presents the legal framework of the Republic of Kazakhstan on infrastructure bonds, considers cases of infrastructure financing through bond market in Kazakhstan, reveals the main reasons of unsuccessful practice of infrastructure bonds issue in Kazakhstan. The research results mentioned in the article may be considered by regulating authorities to address the shortcomings of the funding mechanism through infrastructure bonds in Kazakhstan
