Abstract

Presently, Brazil has the eighth largest economy in the world and the largest in Latin America. Despite this, she faced economic and financial turmoil in the past. In the recent economic crisis of the country (2014-2017), there was a sharp drop in GDP, a sharp increase in unemployment, a serious financial crisis and an increase in the budget deficit. Since then, the economy has been an important issue in political discourse, especially with regard to globalization and ways to liberalize trade, which can affect economic growth.
