Abstract

The article analyzes the growth rates of the power industry of the Rostov region and expands the concept of heat power engineering. The economic characteristics of nuclear power plants and HPPs are correlated with the different modes of electricity generation. The main directions of the development of heat power engineering are listed, including the construction of autonomous GTU-HPPs, which are less capital intensive than conventional boiler houses, and the orientation towards the use of coal from local deposits as fuel for power plants.
