Challenges in Project Management and their Solutions

Abstract

The significance of projects for competitive advantage of organizations and national growth is constantly increasing. However, despite their importance, most projects are never destined to achieve their stated objectives. In response to this challenge, scholars and practitioners are exploring ways to improve the effectiveness of the projects. This happens through the analysis of the reasons for the failure, identification of critical success factors, determination of the criteria for success of the project, development of methodologies and project management framework. This work presents an overview of issues emerging in projects and their possible solutions.
